2010 PRINCESS PAIGE DORATT

My name is Paige Doratt and I am from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. I go to Great Valley High School. I love creative expression, so most of my courses are art and fashion classes. I also take Eastern World Civilizations, Algebra, English, and Biology. I am in my third year of French and am planning a trip to France in May. In the past, I have also taken German, Latin, and Spanish language classes. In school, I am involved in the Kid 2 Kid club where I help other children by participating in fundraisers and donating time. I enjoy helping others and hope to find a career in doing so.
Outside of school, I take voice and ballet lessons. I love to dance and thanks to Susanne's School of Dance and Feet First Dance Center, I have had the privilege of dancing in many shows and events. I take voice lessons with the wonderful Jane Ellen Farmer who will hopefully guide me to the Curtis Institute of Music.
Since I was a child, I have had a passion for animals. I've always owned at least one at a time, sometimes even against the will of my parents. Animals I've had include horses, lizards, pigs, dogs, cats, birds, goats, and rabbits. I know that my passion for owning and caring for animals will continue throughout my life.
Being the new Princess of Wellwood Yacht Club, I will represent you with class and grace as you should be represented. I also hope to help and offer new ideas to the Club and all of our boaters to make the Chesapeake a fun and enjoyable place for everyone.
I thank everyone who was involved and supported my selection as your Princess. I will strive to make you proud.
Sincerely, Paige princess@wellwoodyachtclub.org
