Rear-Commodore's Message

It is an honor to serve as your Rear Commodore for the year 2008.
My responsibilities for this position involve the planning of land events
that provide opportunities for socializing and interaction with other
members (ie. PARTY!!). I truly hope to roll out some new events, as well
as building on the successful parties from Halloween and Christmas in
years past. Your input and support are always welcomed and encouraged.
Also, I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better as we spend our
2008 boating season together.

Our entertainment committee for this year are Sandy Deeds,
Georgia Dixon, Jessy Rodgers and Debbie Sheetz. You may discuss any
ideas you have for our events schedule with them as well. Please mark your
calendars for the following events we have already scheduled:

July 5th - Pig Roast & Celebration located at The Wellwood Restaurant
Tent. 4 - ? p.m. Tickets are available for purchase with a discount
offered for advance purchase.

August 16th (to be confirmed) - Bus Trip to 3 yacht clubs for Yacht Club
Hopping and socializing with other clubs. Details forthcoming

October 25th - Halloween Party - Complimentary reception from 6:30 to 7:45
p.m. for Members - located at the Wellwood Restaurant. Costume Contest and
Dancing to follow.

December 13th - Christmas Party & Silent Auction. A block of rooms are
booked at the Comfort Inn, North East at a room rate of $79/night. You can
reserve your room from the block reserved under the Wellwood Yacht Club at
410-287-7100. There will be a hospitality suite open all afternoon at the
Comfort Inn as well for meeting, greeting and getting the party started
early! Tickets will be on sale this fall.
